Oklahoma City is well-known for its nightlife, particularly in the Paseo Arts District and Bricktown Entertainment District, and arts, boasting the Oklahoma City Ballet and Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Oklahoma’s capital city is also a Mecca for sports fans, being the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder, of the NBA, and Oklahoma City Dodgers, a Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
What To Do
Some of the top attractions in the city include the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, which honors the victims, survivors and rescuers of the Oklahoma City bombing; Frontier City, a Western-themed amusement park with dozens of rides, attractions and live entertainment; and the Oklahoma City Zoo, which consists of more than 1,900 animal species and expansive botanical gardens.
When to Go
The best time to visit Oklahoma City is from September to November when the weather is mild. Spring is also pleasant, and late April is when the famous Festival of the Arts occurs.
