About Bozeman

This midsize Southwest city is the fourth largest in Montana and features a good balance of communal urban lifestyle with all the surrounding outdoor activities Montana has to offer. Located within the Rocky Mountains, at the Southern end of Montana, Bozeman also stands between the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park and Big Sky Ski Resort, making it a desirable location for biking, hiking, camping, fishing, and skiing. It’s a great destination to view via road trip, slowly taking in the surrounding history and landscapes, while also exploring several of the sites within the city as well, such as museums, theater, local shops, and fine dining.

What to Do

  • Big Sky Ski Resort: located 50 miles south of Bozeman, contains over 5,800 acres of ski terrain. The resort is known for its advanced lift system and vertical ski drop.
  • Yellowstone National Park: expands 3,468 square miles and contains protected mountain ranges, rivers, lakes, canyons, and wildlife within. Prior to being established a National Park, Yellowstone was home to many tribal Nations, making Yellowstone Tribal Heritage Center a great stop in the park, to take in the culture and history of the area.
  • Bozeman Hot Springs: the perfect getaway after a long day of hiking, skiing, or shopping. The Bozeman Hot Springs has several natural hot springs to choose from, as well as a selection of pools, hot/dry saunas, and a fitness center.
  • Local shopping and dining: downtown Bozeman has become known for their boutique shopping experience and contemporary dining culture so give time to explore the best the local craftsmen have to offer.

When to Go
