Walking amid cobblestone streets in the middle of a mild Florida winter in St. Augustine’s Old City is a site to behold. During the city’s annual Nights of Lights, thousands of bulbs illuminate the city. Although nighttime temperatures can dip in the 40s F, if you dress right, pleasures abound. Summertime is also lots of fun, with plenty of gentle breezes from local Atlantic waters to help you keep cool. Outdoor activities of all kinds, from beach picnics to hikes in the state parks, go perfectly with more mild spring and fall temperatures.
