This city and emirate boasts world-class beaches, shopping and dining. Although known for its modernity and high-rise buildings, Abu Dhabi is also a wonderland for outdoor adventure, whether kayaking around its mangrove forests in Mangrove National Park or exploring some of the largest sand dunes in the world in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali) desert.
