About Costa Navarino
Explore Greece
Overview
Named “European Golf Resort of the Year 2017” by the global golf tourism association, Costa Navarino offers two signature courses. The Dunes Course and The Bay Course each offer distinctly spectacular views of mountains and waterways. The region’s first deluxe ecologically friendly locale, Costa Navarino aims to preserve the delicate nature of the area. Its pristine sand dunes provide a backdrop for Greece’s first signature golf course.
As the sun casts shadows over ancient ruins, such as the Palace of Nestor, dating back to 1300 BC, and the awesome Temple of Apollo, romantic couples and vacationing families sip local wine and form new friendships while skies turn golden.
Eventually, night falls, and skies light up with the wonderful wordless smiles of a million twinkling stars. Visitors can choose to return to their luxurious resorts and hotel rooms, or make the magic last a little longer with friends and loved ones.
What To Do
Dive right into this magical isle. Or ride a bike along its interior. Explore the arches and underwater landscapes of Costa Navarino. Sip sweet local wine and let the fun begin, from wine-making and olive harvesting to learning to cook authentic Greek cuisine.
Swim or kayak across the sublime, sheltered turquoise Navarino Bay. Hike, bike, rock climb and jog in the land of the ancient Spartans, renowned for their athleticism and physical strength. Sail out to sea, like ancient Odysseus.
Play a round or two of golf on Greece’s first signature golf course. Soothe body and soul in a rejuvenating hydrotherapy pool overlooking the sea.
Tour the engaging region of Messenia on foot for a naturally wonderful experience. Uncover the ancient ruins, such as the inland Palace of Nestor and the Castle of Koroni, a 13th century Venetian fortress overlooking shimmering turquoise seas.
When to Go
This year-round destination boasts sunny skies and warm waters regardless of the season. Spring and fall, especially April and September, offer the most agreeable temperatures along the grand Peloponnese Peninsula and Costa Navarino. The west coast generally gets more rain than the eastern areas, especially from October through March.
Fast Facts
