Overview
Uluru is one of the world’s largest monoliths and is more than 550 million years old. It is Australia’s most famous natural landmark and rises 1,142 feet. Uluru is sacred to indigenous Australians and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park also includes the 36 red-rock domes of the Kata Tjuta, aka the Olgas.
When to Go
The best time to visit Uluru is between May and September, when the days are dry and warm but not unbearably hot.
