The park offers a variety of outdoor activities, no matter your interest or fitness level. Miles of hiking trails wind through, from easy walks above the rim of the canyon to more challenging treks that guide visitors down into the canyon itself. Or, give your feet a break with a guided horseback tour. For winter travelers, take advantage of heavy snowfall and try your hand at snowshoeing, allowing you a unique view of Bryce Canyon’s amphitheater blanketed in white.
Year-round, Bryce Canyon National Park is blessed with an untouched view of the night sky and the stars above. Catch a glimpse of the Milky Way and peer through a telescope on a ranger-led tour of the night sky.
When to Go
Due to elevation, average summer temperatures at the park are lower than other parts of the surrounding desert, and spring and fall can be moderate, even a little chilly. Winter visitors should be aware that snow may be present, limiting hiking opportunities.
