Day 1 - Guanacaste

Arrival and transfer from the international airport to hotel

Welcome to the Wonders of Costa Rica. You will be picked up at the Liberia Airport and taken to your hotel for your overnight stay. Liberia, known as the White City, is the capital of the province of Guanacaste located on the sunny, North Pacific side of Costa Rica.

Day 2 - Arenal

Arenal Volcano, Mistico Park and Hot Springs

Meet your guide for the transfer to the Arenal area for your 3-night stay in the beautiful rainforest area of Costa Rica. Once you arrive in the town of Cañas and start climbing the Guanacaste range the temperature will drop, and you will start to feel the rainforest climate just around the corner. This trip takes you to a diverse variety of ecosystems where you will see the scenic natural beauty in Costa Rica and the majestic Arenal Volcano. Your guide will introduce you to the thriving habitat of the rainforest on a short walk in Mistico Park. Then, get a different view of the area from the hanging bridges.

Day 3 - Arenal

Canyoning at Lost Canyon in Costa Rica:

You’ll rappel down huge waterfalls, jump into pools, downclimb the canyon walls and river boulders, and hike up through the rainforest. Your professional tour guide will fit you with high-quality canyoneering gear and give you a safety talk and canyoning demonstration before beginning your La Fortuna Waterfall adventure. Start off the rappelling leg of your canyoning journey with the first waterfall, a 10-foot waterfall that allows you to ease your way into learning the ropes. You’ll soon reach the second-largest waterfall that will get your adrenaline-pumping as you continue your journey through the canyon and build up to the largest Lost Canyon challenge: an exciting 200-foot waterfall rappel. When you finish your tour, settle in for your best meal in Costa Rica at the famous Hunters & Gatherers restaurant next to the El Salto Swimming Hole on the Fortuna River.

La Fortuna Waterfall Horseback Riding:

On this horseback ride to La Fortuna Waterfall, you will see the spectacular Arenal Volcano and dormant Cerro Chato Volcano off in the distance with gorgeous green countryside all around. The horses are sturdy and friendly bred for tourism. There are over 300 steps to get to the base of La Fortuna Waterfall along a private trail. You'll have an opportunity to take lots of pictures and swim in the cool waters of one of the largest waterfalls in Arenal. Children under 6 years old are not allowed due to the hike difficulty level. Adults must have good physical condition to join this adventure since there are many steps.

Sloth Tour at the Sloth Territory:

The sweet smiling face of the Costa Rican sloth is rapidly becoming the iconic symbol of the country’s amazing rainforest wildlife. If you would like an easy hike to see these cuddly looking animals, this is the perfect tour for you. You’ll be searching out both 2-toed and 3-toed sloths. Although similar, they have distinct differences. The 2-toed Sloth, being nocturnal, can be found sleeping high up in the treetops. More active during daytime hours, the 3-toed Sloth slowly moves through the branches happily eating leaves, often with a young sloth hugging on for the ride. Affixed with permanent smiles, sloths easily steal the hearts of those that watch them. And as a bonus, you’ll also get great views of a variety of birds, brightly colored toucans, elusive iguanas, and more.

Day 6 - Guanacaste

Sunset Catamaran

This tour starts aboard a catamaran at either Coco or Tamarindo Beach, giving you access to some of the most beautiful, isolated beaches and snorkel locations in Costa Rica. Experience an array of marine wildlife, including dolphins, whales, sea turtles, tropical fish, manta rays and more. Sailing along the coastline will give you a completely different view of Costa Rica while your professional and friendly crew make your experience on board a memorable one, serving you refreshments throughout the cruise. Enjoy activities suitable for all ages, including guided snorkel tours. Sailing back at sunset is the perfect end to an unforgettable Costa Rican experience.
