Day 1 - San José
Arrival
Arrival and transfer from the international airport to the chosen hotel.

Day 2 - Arenal
Transfer to La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano Hike and Hot Springs
Start your trip driving north on the Pan American Highway over rolling hills of sugar cane and coffee plantations and make a stop in the world-famous town of Sarchí, the birthplace of Costa Rica’s artisans. The trip continues through diverse plantations with agricultural products, ornamental plants and cattle ranches until arriving at La Fortuna for lunch at a cozy restaurant. Later, enjoy the most extraordinary view of the Arenal Volcano on a gentle hike along the base of this marvelous wonder of nature. Then, relax at Titoku Hot Springs where you will be able to enjoy a variety of thermal pools and a delicious dinner.

Day 3 - Arenal
Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge
The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge and the Rio Frío are biological humid areas considered to be one of the richest in biological diversity in Costa Rica. Here you can find a great variety of resident and migratory birds plus three different species of monkeys, also iguanas, sloths, turtles and caymans. You will begin your adventure at Los Chiles village and experience a floating safari through the tropical rainforest and pastures until arriving at the marsh.

Day 4 - Monteverde
Transfer to the Monteverde Area
After breakfast, continue your journey to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, famed for its biological reserve. Monteverde protects a large variety of endangered species, including amphibians, mammals and birds. On a spectacular drive of approximately 3 hours, you will enjoy breathtaking views of Arenal Lake and the northern plains of Costa Rica: Your guide will be teaching you the importance of each habitat and the history of each town passing by. After checking in at the hotel, you can relax or take an optional activity: canopy tour, sky walk, frog pond or butterfly farm.

Day 5 - Monteverde
Monteverde Cloud Forst Reserve Tour
Your expert guide will take you to visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. More than 500 species of orchids cling to the limbs of enormous trees, while vines, ferns, mosses and lichens fill every other available space. The Cloud Forest of Monteverde houses more than 130 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, including the beautiful quetzal, 30 species of hummingbirds, 5,000 species of moths and 3,000 species of plants. It is a nature-lover’s paradise. After visiting the Monteverde Reserve, you will enjoy lunch and the rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax and experience nature at its best or take an optional activity: canopy tour, sky walk, frog pond or butterfly farm.
