Nestled in a 17th-century sanctuary in the heart of Old Nice, Hotel du Couvent is a classified place, blending history with modern mindfulness. Built by Clarisse nuns in 1604, the property offers 88 rooms & suites ranging from quiet monastic-type cells to 1,780-square-feet apartments with fully equipped kitchens. The hotel features 2.5 acres of hidden tiered gardens with over 300 species, as well as an heated swimming pool overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the roofs of Nice's Old Town. Guests can experience authentic Roman baths—featuring a thermal circuit of tepidarium, caldarium, and frigidarium—along with a 20-meter lap pool and a dedicated Movement Studio with complimentary classes (yoga, pilates, stretching). As a tribute to the sister's way of life, the cuisine gets inspiration from local and seasonal products, some of them provided by the hotel's organic farm. This farm-to-table philosophy comes to life at the Restaurant du Couvent, the Guinguette, and the lively Bistrot des Serruriers. Unique on-site experiences include a bakery producing fresh bread and a traditional herbalist tucked within
the cloister. On the third Saturday of each month, the hotel transforms into a vibrant village square, hosting a local market where farmers from the Nice region share their produce with the community.
